Job Summary:

-The Shop Assistant assists in shipping/receiving functions, the repair department, and with general warehouse duties including

deliveries.

Job Functions

-Assists in shipping & receiving/ inventory functions

-Assists in the repair department as needed

-Helps out with general warehouse duties

-Runs errands/ makes deliveries as directed

-Maintains/ cleans the warehouse and repair/ shipping area

-Carries out any other general tasks in the shop and office as necessary

Physical Job Demands

-Physical demands are moderate and typically require the following: 15% sitting, 40% walking and 45% standing.

-Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of 50+ lbs. is required.

-No travel required. Frequent on the job driving.

Training

-Shop Assistant training is to be carried out at any branch location necessary. The Shop Manager is responsible

for the Shop Assistant’s training. When possible, the training will be directed by the Shop Manager, conducted

with the assistance of an incumbent Shop Assistant as appropriate.

The following tasks shall be initially trained on the Shop Assistant function:

-Assisting in shipping & receiving/ inventory

-Assisting in the repair department

-Maintaining/ cleaning the warehouse and repair/ shipping & receiving offices

The Shop Assistant shall be trained on the following software, as needed:

-Service Fusion

-Other Microsoft Software programs, as needed

The following PPE shall be required by the required by the Shop Assistant

-Steel toe boots in warehouse

-Safety Glasses in appropriate areas of warehouse
