Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in construction accounting, prevailing wage, and Davis-Bacon compliance. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in QuickBooks and job costing to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

· Construction Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and payroll, with a focus on prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon Act compliance.

· Job Costing & Financial Tracking: Implement and maintain job costing systems to track project expenses, labor costs, and profitability.

· Payroll & Compliance: Ensure payroll accuracy, particularly for prevailing wage projects, and maintain compliance with all tax laws and labor regulations.

· Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing budgets, cash flow projections, and financial planning for multiple business entities.

· Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, job cost reports, and project-based financial summaries.

· Audit & Regulatory Compliance: Work with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to Davis-Bacon Act requirements and other applicable laws.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA a plus.

· 3+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry with knowledge of prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon compliance.

· Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with job costing, or related accounting software.

· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
