Maintenance Mechanic $20 DOE

The 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance & repair of production machinery in our manufacturing plant and report to the Maintenance Manager. This includes equipment maintenance and continuous improvement of processes.

Duties/Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.

Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.

Continuous Improvement including Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.

Troubleshoots and records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.

Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.

Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines and reads blueprints if necessary

Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently including plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics

Experience with Conveyor Material handling

Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.

Is knowledgeable of electricity and can perform electrical repairs

Use lockout/tag out procedure to isolate equipment prior to working on unit

Help with start-up and shutdown processes

Ensure food safety is not adversely affected by maintenance activity

Support production in hitting target goals

Performs other related duties as assigned

Require to be flexible and work on the weekend.

Must be bilingual Spanish.

Required Skills/Abilities

Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.

Works well independently and with others.

Good communication skills bilingual a plus.

Organized with attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

High school diploma, GED, vocational school, or related experience

Braising and welding and electrical skills a plus
