Vice President

Vice President positions offered by The Carlyle Group Employee Company LLC (New York, NY). Lead evaluation and execution of LBO transactions reporting to Managing Directors and Principals. Manage due diligence process and interview management teams. Determine appropriate valuations, legal/ tax structures and optimal capital structures. Distill and present diligence findings, financial models, valuation and returns to the Investment Committee. Negotiate transaction agreements and financing documents. Develop management comp plans and identify opportunities for performance improvement and value realization. Conduct post investment portfolio company monitoring, including evaluating company performance and working with company management on strategic initiatives such as add-on M&A and other value creation efforts. Position based in New York, NY. Domestic travel up to 15% of working time.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field and 3 years of experience in private equity. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: financial analysis; portfolio management and monitoring; Microsoft Excel; financial modeling, including cash flow or buyout models; and, valuation analysis. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position based in New York, NY. Domestic travel up to 15% of working time. We are offering a salary range of $250,000 to $260,000 per year.
