Dispatcher/Rides Coordinator

Independent Transportation Network Lehigh Valley (ITN Lehigh Valley) is looking for a part time Rides Coordinator/Dispatcher (25 hrs/wk). Interested persons must be dependable, energetic, courteous, and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.

ITN Lehigh Valley is a non-profit senior transportation service providing transportation in private automobiles to people 60 years of age and older and visually impaired adults of any age.

Candidates must be able to work weekday afternoon hours from 12:00 – 5:00 pm. There is a possibility for some remote hours.

Responsibilities Include:

Cover ITN Lehigh Valley phones

Entering ride reservations into proprietary software system

Routing driver routes

Generating and distributing ride manifests to drivers via email

Communicating with drivers as needed

Handling rider complaints, reservation changes, and cancellations

Enter new ride members and volunteer drivers into the database.

Assist with regularly required reports and mailings

Generating invoices and entering payments into the database

Mail information materials to prospective riders and mail birthday greetings, information packets, gift certificates, and annual mailings such as Volunteer Annual Statements.

Qualifications

Excellent computer skills and experience with Excel

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work without close supervision and meet timelines

Familiarity of Lehigh Valley streets, highways, and general locations

Ability to plan, organize, problem solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced setting

Experience working with staff and volunteers preferred

Must be comfortable with computers and office equipment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
