Position: Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to oversee the daily operations of our management properties in Fresno and the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resident relations, rent collection, and property maintenance coordination. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Rent Collection & Credit Checks:

Ensure timely rent collection and follow up on outstanding balances.

Perform credit checks on prospective tenants.

Leasing & Resident Relations:

Handle leasing inquiries, applications, and data entry.

Act as a liaison with the Housing Authority.

Maintain positive resident relations and retention efforts.

Preparing leases, and lease renewals.

Property Maintenance & Vendor Coordination:

Schedule and coordinate maintenance requests and work orders in AppFolio.

Arrange unit turnarounds and move-in/move-out inspections.

Schedule vendors for maintenance and repair services.

Order office supplies as needed.

Administrative & Financial Duties:

Prepare paperwork for collections.

Manage filing and documentation.

Emergency Response:

Carry a 24-hour emergency phone and coordinate vendor or maintenance response as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Prior experience in property management, leasing, or real estate administration.

Proficiency in AppFolio or similar property management software.

Strong understanding of rent collection, credit checks, and Housing Choice Voucher Program.

Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Availability to handle emergency calls after hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of local landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations.

Experience managing single-family homes and smaller apartment complexes.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

$18 to $23 an hour based on experience.
