Fiber Optic Technician

Areas of expertise for the technicians working the project:

Installation, splicing and testing Fiber Optic cables (MM and SM)

Installation, Configuring and testing of low voltage cabling

Infrastructure Installation in Manholes

Ability to read drawings (cable/conduit plans, equipment elevations/wiring) and rack-and-stack electronic equipment

Some understanding of VLAN and Ethernet

Some understanding of how to install, terminate and test 70 Vac speaker system

Some understanding of audio Speech Transmission Index (STI) and Sound Pressure Level (SPL) testing and how to correct non-compliant values

Must be able to pass background check and drug testing.
