Service Writer – Independent Auto Repair Shop

We are a well-established independent auto repair shop in Whittier, servicing a wide range of vehicles, from classic cars to modern models. Our services cover everything from routine maintenance, such as oil changes and tire services, to brake repairs and complete engine rebuilds.

We are seeking a Service Writer to join our team. This role involves assisting customers by explaining necessary repairs and services while ensuring a top-tier customer experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs

Clearly explain recommended repairs and services

Provide accurate estimates and answer customer questions

Coordinate with technicians to ensure smooth workflow

Maintain a positive and professional customer experience

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a service writer or in a customer service role (automotive industry preferred)

Strong communication and organizational skills

Basic understanding of automotive repairs and services

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to effectively assist a diverse customer base
