Lead Mechanic / Shop Manager – $35–$40/hr | Full-Time | Reno/Sparks

We’re a busy landscape company in Reno/Sparks looking for a skilled mechanic to take charge of our shop. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our full fleet—trucks, trailers, small engines, and heavy equipment. If you’re reliable, self-motivated, and enjoy working with your hands, this is your opportunity to run the show.

What You’ll Do:

Diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment

Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks

Troubleshoot hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical issues

Maintain shop logs and repair records

Occasionally assist with welding, painting, or light fabrication

Keep the shop clean, safe, and organized

What We’re Looking For:

Proven mechanical experience (fleet, heavy equipment, or shop)

Strong diagnostic skills

Solid knowledge of engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems

Organized and reliable with a problem-solving mindset

Your own tools (we provide the big stuff)

(Bonus) ASE certs or vocational training

(Bonus) Landscape or construction equipment experience

Pay & Perks:

$35–$40/hr depending on experience

Full-time, year-round work (40 hrs/week)
