Stipend: Up to $150 to $325 per cycle
Study Schedule:
The study plans to complete multiple cycles of testing over the next year. You may be asked to complete one or multiple cycles of testing. Some cycles may consist of only one on-site appointment, while others may require additional at-home data collection.
Schedule #1: Screening Visit and In-lab Testing (likely to occur on the same day of Screening). The length of each visit will be up to 3 hours.
Schedule #2: Screening Visit, In-lab Testing (likely to occur on the same day of Screening), 7-day Data Collection at Home, Follow-Up Visit. The length of each visit will be up to 3 hours.
Clinilabs is now enrolling adults with signs of hearing loss for a new, non-invasive research study to collect data via a wearable technology. No medication is involved in this study.
Qualified participants must be:
o At least 18 years of age or older
o Experiencing mild to moderate hearing loss, such as
o Difficulty hearing speech in noisy places
o Trouble hearing on the phone
o Needing to turn the volume up on TV or radio, and other people complain it’s too loud
o Wearing a prescription or over-the-counter hearing aid
o Able and willing to:
o Attend visits in Midtown Manhattan, NY or Eatontown, NJ
o Complete all onsite and at-home testing as required by the study
The use of a cochlear implant or bone-anchored hearing system is not allowed for this study.
There is no cost to participate. Compensation available for eligible participants, up to $150 for Schedule #1 and up to $325 for Schedule #2, for each cycle of study completion as well as travel reimbursement for each onsite visit. Total compensation is dependent on the number of visits completed.
o Screening Visit – $25
o In-lab Testing – $125
o 7-Day Data Collection at Home – $100
o Follow-Up Visit and Device Return – $75
o Travel Reimbursement – up to $80 round-trip per visit
