Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Sr. Operations Manager to support our Manufacturing team in Chambersburg, PA.  As a Sr. Operations Manager, you will lead salaried and hourly employees in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing facility.  You will manage production & sorting throughout the facility, assist with hiring, monitor safety, security, maintenance, and repairs, and assist with other duties as directed by the Director of Operations.At Ingram, the Operations team serves a key role within the organization.  We ensure that our distribution centers and manufacturing facilities function at maximum efficiency.   Safety is a core value in our environment.  We emphasize this through training, education and accident prevention programs.  Process Improvement is another core value, and through innovations such as voice and Radio Frequency (RF) technologies, as well as feedback from our associates, we work toward constant improvement. The world is reading, and it is our goal to connect as many people to the content they want in the simplest ways.  If you want to be part of a customer-centric team that strives for excellence, collaboration, innovation, we can’t wait to meet you!Schedule:M-F 1st shift, with flexibility needed for business demandsWhat You'll Need:College degree in Engineering, Operations or related technical field or directly related year for year experience5 years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce in a manufacturing, production environment with experience in the printing industry a plus.4 years of progressive manufacturing production work experience with a clear track record of success. Preferred Skills:A strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on driving efficiency and operational improvementsDemonstrated success in mentoring, coaching, and developing teams, with a focus on employee growth & succession planningExperience leading projects involving new processes, equipment, or procedural changes, including team coordination and progress trackingWhat You’ll Do:Achieve ability to perform all job duties within the Operational workflow by developing full knowledge of all aspects of the operation of high-speed digital printers, laminators, binders, and trimmers within the Production department.Oversee KPIs, goals and objectives for the management team.Build a passionate manufacturing team with a positive, inclusive, results oriented culture.Leverage the flexibility of Lean, Six Sigma and Performance Improvement tools to enhance productivity.Set clear goals and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measure performance, provide feedback, and hold leaders accountable.Drive continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity to meet and exceed business objectives; works on strategic projects that have total building and network-wide impact. Effectively leverage the Operations and Area Managers to solicit ideas and understand problems and challenges in the building.Provides strategic level/long-term planning (3, 6, and 12 months out) including labor planning, rate forecasting, and peak season planning.Work closely with support staff (HR, Maintenance Engineering, Safety, IT and other leaders) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.Oversee the supervision of the Operation area insuring the timely and accurate movement of materials in and out of the facility. Monitor and execute LSI policies and procedures for HR related issues including associate attendance and timekeeping. Monitors and reviews associate performance.Interview applicants, make hiring recommendations, oversee training and recommend disciplinary measures, as needed, of production.
