CIVIL ENGINEER: Bowhead is seeking a Civil Engineer to provide civil engineering services to Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for the planning, designing and overseeing of construction and maintenance of various buildings and facilities. Structures will include roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, water and sewage systems and waste disposal systems. The Civil Engineer must have prior experience with independent technical reviews, project scope development, field investigation, planning, specifications, drawings, cost estimating, problem and conflict resolution, scheduling and design production, and facility condition assessments. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Performs engineering duties such as planning and designing, specifically with egress, stairs, walkways and ensuring foundation integrity. • Oversees construction and maintenance of buildings structures and facilities, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, water and sewage systems and waste disposal systems. Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS: • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required in addition to a minimum of five (5+) years of experience. • Must have demonstrated mastery of civil engineering concepts, principles, and practices. • Must have experience with building structure and concrete. • Licensed Professional Engineer or other industry-standard professional license related to position highly desirable. • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must obtain or maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. ship is a requirement at this location. Securing and maintaining a Common Access card (CAC) is a requirement for all positions at this location.
