Seeking HOST at Olives and Oil Downtown New Haven

We are looking to grow our team at Olives and Oil as we gear up for busy season. We are a full-service restaurant/bar in the heart of Downtown New Haven. We have a focus on quality, inventive food, outstanding service and relationships with our customers, in a beautiful environment. We are seeking team members who are reliable, flexible, and hard workers.

Responsibilities of the host include but are not limited to:

Keeping the exterior and immediate interior of the restaurant clean and presentable

Consistently checking on, cleaning, and restocking the bathrooms

Answering the phone, taking reservations

Greeting guests with a warm and smiling welcome

Pace seating of the restaurant

Placing reservations and maintaining table status in OpenTable

Keeping track of OpenTable reservations and guests every week

Staying in communication with management about reservations and seating

Take-out orders
