Junior Software Developer

Position Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic junior software developer to join our software design team. You will work closely with the Technical Lead, while assisting with all functions of software coding and design. Your primary focus will be to respond to requests from the CSuite while learning the codebase, handling bug fixes, and organizing platform data.

To be a successful junior software developer, you should have a strong foundation in basic programming languages, the ability to learn new technology quickly, and adhere to tight deadlines. We are looking for someone that can provide support to our software team while improving his or her coding skills.

Objectives

Codebase Familiarity – Demonstrates working knowledge of the platform’s codebase within 90 days and contributes at least one approved feature or bug fix per quarter.

C-Suite Requests – Responds to executive-level requests with accurate, timely solutions, meeting agreed deadlines at least 90% of the time.

Bug Resolution – Identifies, documents, and resolves reported bugs with minimal escalation; closes 80% of assigned tickets within SLA.

Data Organization – Maintains platform data in a structured and accessible format with zero critical errors.

Skill Growth – Shows measurable improvement in coding proficiency, demonstrated by successful completion of training modules or mentorship milestones.

Problem-Solving – Breaks down technical issues logically and proposes efficient solutions.

Collaboration – Works productively with Technical Lead, peers, and executives; communicates clearly.

Attention to Detail – Writes clean, reliable code and ensures accuracy in data handling.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Internship or coursework experience in software development is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

Exposure to database management concepts.

Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and professional growth.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

This position will not require travel; yet traveling is optional for conferences and all-team meetings
