Part-Time House Manager – Hillsborough / Burlingame Area

Schedule: Approximately 3–4 days per week

Hours: Flexible daytime schedule (about 15–25 hours per week)

Compensation: $30–$38/hour depending on experience (see below)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly responsible, organized, and proactive House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a private residence with pets (dogs and cats). This individual will coordinate household staff, manage property maintenance, and ensure the home runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate house staff (housekeepers, gardeners, pet caregivers, etc.)

Ensure the residence is consistently clean, well-maintained, and organized

Manage outside vendors and contractors (repairs, landscaping, deliveries, etc.)

Handle household supply inventory and procurement

Care for family pets: coordinate feeding schedules, grooming, vet visits, and exercise routines

Oversee basic administrative tasks, including scheduling maintenance, filing invoices, and communicating updates to the homeowner

Support occasional event or guest preparation when needed

Qualifications

Prior experience as a house manager, estate manager, or executive housekeeper strongly preferred

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Reliable, trustworthy, and able to exercise good judgment when working independently

Comfortable managing and supervising household staff and service providers

Pet-friendly — must enjoy working around dogs and cats

Bilingual in English and Chinese an absolute requirement

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Employment Terms

Hourly rate: $30–$40/hour depending on qualifications and references

Guaranteed minimum weekly hours for stable income (to be mutually agreed upon)

Long-term, part-time position with potential for expanded responsibilities over time
