Heavy Equipment Mechanic

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Basic knowledge in construction related equipment, machinery, and vehicles

- Ability to use a variety of tools to repair equipment

Duties:

- Inspection, repair, and maintenance of trucks, bulldozers, and other construction related equipment

- Ensure equipment follows safety guidelines in accordance with company standards

- Perform safety check on equipment prior to use

- Diagnosing and reporting faults in equipment and taking appropriate action to ensure safety guidelines are met

- Repair equipment in a timely manner in order to promote continuation of projects

- Read and understand diagrams related to equipment utilized by the company

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- Equivalent to high school diploma

- 1-2 years of experience as a construction mechanic

- Experience working on diesel-powered equipment or other heavy equipment

- Understanding of computer diagnostic testing technologies

- Knowledge regarding vehicle engines and construction equipment
