Salesperson / Project Manager for Tree Service

Alpen Tree Experts is seeking an experienced salesperson / project manager to join our team for the upcoming 2026 season. We specialize in tree removals, defensible space, pruning, and vegetation management throughout the Tahoe–Truckee region.

This position combines estimating, sales and project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience bidding and securing contracts for tree service projects including removals, pruning and fire mitigation projects for large properties and will also oversee job execution, ensuring quality work, safety, and clear communication between clients and crews.

Responsibilities:

Meet with clients to assess project needs and prepare detailed bids and proposals

Secure and manage contracts for fire mitigation, tree removals, and pruning work

Coordinate with field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specifications

Maintain strong communication with property owners, contractors, and agencies

Track job progress, scheduling, and billing follow-up

Requirements:

Proven experience in tree service, forestry, or vegetation management sales and operations

Understanding of defensible space, fuel reduction, and hazard tree assessment

Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

Ability to read site maps, measure accurately, and use estimating tools/software

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual in English and Spanish

ISA Certified Arborist

Licensed Timber Operator (LTO A)

Experience supervising crews in tree service or land management projects

Compensation:

Competitive base pay plus commission
