KJ’s Café is a small, locally owned, family-run spot serving New Mexican & American favorites. We’re located downtown inside the Bernalillo County building at Alvarado Square. Our team takes pride in quality, consistency, and a friendly, get-it-done attitude.

Position: Line Cook (Full-Time)

We’re looking for a reliable, self-sufficient line cook who can handle a line solo when needed and keep cool during rushes.

What you’ll do

Cook and plate New Mexican & American dishes to spec and on time

Keep the line organized, stocked, and clean; follow sanitation & temp-log procedures

Assist with daily prep, receiving, and closing duties

Communicate clearly with FOH/BOH and support a positive team culture

What we’re looking for

Certified (NM Food Handler/Manager or ServSafe) or willing to get certified

Proven line experience (breakfast/lunch service a plus) and ability to run a station independently

Punctual, dependable, and prideful about your work and presentation

Strong work ethic and attention to consistency & cleanliness

Schedule & Pay

Full-time hours available (schedule depends on business needs and your work ethic)

Pay: Negotiable DOE
