Compensation: $15/hour + 7% commission on sales

Our New Orleans space is both playful and professional, showcasing immersive exhibitions that balance fine art, humor, and a touch of kitsch.
We’re seeking a driven and personable Art Gallerist to join our sales team, someone who thrives in creative environments, loves connecting with people, and knows how to turn art appreciation into sales success.
What You’ll Do:
Welcome visitors and create a warm, memorable experience that reflects the artist’s unique spirit.
Manage daily gallery operations, including opening/closing, merchandising, and inventory management.
Engage guests with genuine enthusiasm, sharing the artist’s story and works to drive sales.
Use technology (POS, CRM, social media tools, and basic digital communication) to manage transactions and client relationships.
Maintain the gallery’s visual presentation and assist with exhibition installations and updates.
Collaborate with the artist’s team and other gallery locations to ensure consistency and professionalism across all spaces.
Who You Are:
A sales expert
A self-starter with strong sales experience and a natural flair for building rapport.
Comfortable with technology, from tablets and email to digital POS and social media.
Have a keen eye for design and attention to detail, presentation matters!
Appreciate humor, kitsch, and quirk, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently in a creative yet structured environment.
