Truck Recovery Driver – Fly Nationwide to Pick Up Trucks

We are hiring a Truck Recovery Driver whose main responsibility is to fly out across the country and drive trucks back to our terminal in Illinois.

This is a travel-heavy position and perfect for someone who enjoys flying, being on the road, and operating different types of trucks.

Job Duties

Fly nationwide (company-paid flights) to pick up trucks

Recover:

Abandoned units

Breakdown units

Auction purchases

Perform basic inspections before driving back

Drive recovered trucks safely back to our Illinois terminal

Communicate updates while in transit

Handle unexpected situations professionally (dead batteries, low air, minor issues, etc.)

Experience Required

Applicants must have:

Strong experience driving semi trucks

Ability to safely and confidently operate unfamiliar equipment

Over-the-road driving experience (CDL-A)

Good problem-solving skills when picking up abandoned/broken units

Requirements

Must be able to travel frequently and sometimes on short notice

Valid driver’s license CDL-A

Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently

Must be comfortable flying alone for recoveries

Safe driving record

Able to pass basic background check
