2nd shift Environmental Monitoring Microbiologist Group Leader (Sun-Wed)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Monitoring Microbiologist to oversee environmental monitoring and microbiological testing in a controlled manufacturing environment. This role combines hands-on laboratory responsibilities with leadership duties, including team support, training, and process coordination. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to upholding compliance and quality standards.Laboratory ResponsibilitiesPerform all duties associated with the Quality Control Microbiology Analyst role.Conduct environmental monitoring and compressed gas sampling in controlled environments.Collect water and clean steam samples from manufacturing systems.Manage laboratory support functions, including inventory control of supplies, media, and reagents.Prepare and complete laboratory investigation reports.Utilize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample tracking and test result documentation.Schedule routine tasks on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.Maintain a strong work ethic and meet physical requirements, including:Lifting objects of 25 lbs. or more.Walking and standing for extended periods.Pushing/pulling carts and equipment.Bending and reaching for supplies.Leadership ResponsibilitiesSupport and monitor the performance of a team of analysts.Participate in new hire interviews and assist with onboarding processes.Train and mentor team members.Conduct peer reviews of data to ensure accuracy and compliance.Coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration activities.Cleanroom Requirements: Position requires significant time spent in cleanrooms with the following restrictions:No cosmetic products (such as makeup, false lashes, etc) are permitted and must be removed prior to entryNails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, adornments, etc)No jewelry may be worn, (exceptions are medical alert related and one smooth ring band)Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.
