About the Role

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Counter Attendant to join our busy laundry and dry cleaning team. As the face of our business, you'll provide excellent customer service while managing the day-to-day operations at our front counter. This position is flexible for both part-time and full-time opportunities.

Todd Layne Cleaners, a leading environmentally friendly laundry and dry-cleaning company, has been in business for over 19 years and is opening a second location in the West Village. We provide an upscale service with customized laundry options, uber-powered pickups/deliveries and the latest technology.

Responsibilities

Customer Service:

-Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service

-Process incoming laundry and dry cleaning orders with attention to detail and handle payment

-Return cleaned items to customers

-Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally

-Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries via email and text in company system

-Quality Control & Data Entry:

-Tag, sort, and organize garments according to service type and special instructions

-Operate the point-of-sale system for payments and transactions

-Maintain accurate records of orders and customer preferences in POS

-Handle special requests such as stain treatment, alterations, and express services

-Keep the front counter area clean, organized, and welcoming

Qualifications:

-Retail or customer service experience required

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-Experience with retail POS system, preferably related to dry cleaning

-Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities

-Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs

-Comfortable working in a high energy, fast paced environment with a diverse customer base

-Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments

-Flexibility to work weekends and some holidays

-Strong desire to learn

-Bilingual skills are a plus
