Soldering Technician

Paradigm is looking for a skilled Soldering Technician to assemble and rework electronic products to IPC standards. Responsibilities include hand soldering through-hole and SMT components, performing PCB modifications, and ensuring quality compliance. Ideal candidates have soldering experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Type: 6 month contract-to-hire

Shift: Day Shift (5:00AM - 3:30pm, Mon - Thurs)

Location: On-site, Vancouver, WA

As a Soldering Technician, you will:

Assemble electronic products to drawing and documentation requirements

Prep, install, remove, and touch up through-hole and SMT components by hand soldering

Perform modifications to printed circuit boards including wires/jumper wires, and trace cut

Perform mechanical assembly using work orders, production drawings, sample assemblies or verbal instructions

Prepping, stuffing, and assisting selective solder operations

Operate in-line and batch washers per work instructions

Operate board heaters per work instructions

Depanel assemblies per work instructions

Inspect your work and others to the IPC-A-610 standard

Track job status and time using Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

Become IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certified and retain certification

Become IPC-7711 certified retain certification

Maintain 6S standards and continually look for ways to improve processes

Follow safety, ESD, ITAR and QMS protocols

Actively participate in Lean activities and embrace change

Follow the procedures as defined in the QMS that pertain to your area or position

Perform epoxy, RTV, or potting requirements per documentation

Requirements

Our skills and experience wish list includes:

Through-hole and SMT soldering experience is a MUST

1-2 years soldering experience

2 years experience working in a production environment

IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC-7711 certification preferred

Ability to read, understand, and navigate Fusion/Factory Logix documentation

Excellent interpersonal skills

Production experience

Excellent verbal and written skills

Basic computer skills
