Residential New Construction Opportunity ($17-$25/hr)

Opportunity to work in the important field of residential new construction. Help address the housing shortage by helping to build high quality, long lasting homes in Michigan in a variety of shapes and sizes.

The ideal candidate for this role is comfortable with hard work, honest, communicative, and capable of working independently in a flexible environment. Due to the physical demands of the job, candidates must be able to lift a 75+ lb generator and 85 lb sander and be comfortable working in rough framed homes with the required PPE throughout the year. Houses are not air conditioned.

Candidates must have their own reliable transportation.

Daily tasks include:

Setting up standing screw gun, sander, cords, and generator (as needed)

Securing subfloor to floor joists with standing screw gun

Sanding subfloor seams with floor sander

Sweeping unfinished and finished houses as needed

Working with construction managers to meet last minute needs, potentially including rough framing requests

Repairing squeaky floors and subfloor in partially finished and finished houses
