Iowa Licensed Plumber – Long-Term Contract

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404 - new Data Center

Start Date: 12/08/2025

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | approximately 60 hours/week

Per Diem available for travelers over 50 miles away!

About the Role:

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Iowa-Licensed Commercial Plumbers for multiple long-term commercial projects across Iowa. These positions offer steady hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work on large-scale commercial installations.

Pay Rate: $40/hr

Per Diem: $150/day for travelers over 50 miles away

Employment Type: Contract

Project Duration: 12–24 months

Shift: Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Weekly Hours: 60

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems including water, sanitary waste, venting, gas piping, and hydronic systems.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

Ensure work is completed in accordance with Iowa Plumbing & Mechanical Systems Board (PMSB) licensing requirements and state code.

Perform system testing, inspections, and troubleshooting as needed.

Take accurate field measurements to support ordering and fabrication.

Maintain a clean and safe jobsite while following OSHA and company safety protocols.

Complete additional duties as needed to support project success.

Qualifications:

Active Iowa Journeyperson or Master Plumbing License (required)

3–5+ years of commercial plumbing experience

Strong understanding of Iowa plumbing code and commercial system standards

Ability to work independently and lead apprentices/helpers when needed

Ability to read construction documents and plumbing layouts

Valid driver’s license

OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 (or willingness to obtain)

Able to pass pre-employment screenings as applicable

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
