Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our assisted living. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set and experience. This role requires excellent patient assessment abilities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide Nurse Case Management and nursing delegation functions to include, on site visits in which delegation occurs to assess their physical condition, review medications, documentation, prescriber orders, and review medical appointment/screening exams/immunizations/lab work as needed and provide necessary care.

Delegate medication administration to Certified Medication Technicians (CMT) in facility.

Implement the current agency monitoring system to oversee medication administration and assess competency of skills learned

Be available to the staff/Managers/Directors to answer questions concerning medical and/or medication issues and conduct staff education as appropriate/indicated or as needed

Assist with development of orientation and on-going staff training programs, especially when the training relates to nursing/medical issues by identifying and providing on-going staff training as required by the State regulations.

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Collaborate others (family, nurses, staff, Drs) to coordinate patient care.

Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.

Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety standards.

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Valid RN license in the state of Maryland.

Delegating Nurse Certificate and BLS

Familiarity with Maryland codes and regulations

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
