Bibliotheque Wine Bar hiring Line/Prep Cook $22/hour

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a hybrid prep/pantry cook who will split their time between daytime prep work and cooking in the evening. This role allows for a lot of creative opportunities, as the position will have the opportunity to build on our current menu of cheeses, charcuterie, tinned fish, salads and sandwiches. On-site training provided for qualified and eager candidates!

A Hybrid Line/Prep Cook:

Who is a professional with a positive and motivating presence and a strong attention to detail.

Duties & Essential Functions:

Sets up station with appropriate mise en place in advance of service. Ensuring the station and kitchen is clean, stocked, and ready for action.

Ensures that all dishes are prepared according to both quality and timing standards. Actively restocks ingredients at the workstation and meets prep times for smooth delivery while in service.

Ensures all orders are accounted for, and that all menu items are produced according to spec and timing standards.

Follows all allergy protocols and avoids cross contamination by adhering to preparation standards set.

Maintains a neat, orderly, and safe workstation while in service.

Breaks down stations fully. Reports 86s and any waste to management.

Assists in performing inventory and submits accurate counts.

Understands the setup, break down, and service expectations for station.

Is reliable, reporting to each scheduled shift on time and ready to work.

Is quick, diligent, and willing to improve.

Must be able to lift heavy boxes (at least 40 lbs).

Ability to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods of time over two floors.

Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
