Sullivan Appliance is expanding our operations and seeking reliable, customer-focused drivers and contractors to join our team. We specialize in high-quality appliance delivery and installation services, serving both new construction projects and direct-to-consumer customers across Ohio.

Job Summary

We are hiring full-time Appliance Delivery and Installation Drivers as well as independent contractors with their own trucks and crews to cover the Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus areas. This role involves a mix of deliveries to new construction homes and direct consumer residences. Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend work required. As a key member of our team, you'll ensure safe, timely deliveries and professional installations while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

- Safely load, transport, and unload major household appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, etc.) using company vehicles or your own truck (for contractors).

- Perform basic installations, including disconnecting/reconnecting appliances, leveling, testing operation, and making minor adjustments as needed.

- Deliver to new construction sites and customer homes, navigating routes efficiently across the Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus regions.

- Provide white-glove customer service: communicate with customers, protect their property during installations, and clean up work areas.

- Conduct vehicle inspections, maintain accurate delivery records, and report any issues.

- Lift and maneuver heavy appliances (up to 300+ lbs with team assistance or equipment like dollies and straps).

- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws.

Requirements

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations).

- Experience driving box trucks (non-CDL 26ft preferred; CDL a plus but not required).

- 1+ years of experience in appliance delivery and/or installation strongly preferred (willing to train motivated candidates with related experience).

- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual labor daily.

- Strong customer service skills with a professional and positive attitude.

- Reliable transportation to report to [specify starting location, e.g., central warehouse or flexible based on area].

- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

- Basic hand tools knowledge; familiarity with appliance hookups (water lines, gas, electrical) is a plus.

We Are Also Seeking Independent Contractors

In addition to full-time drivers, we welcome applications from experienced independent contractors who own their own 26ft box trucks (or equivalent) and have their own crew. Contractors must carry appropriate insurance (general liability and cargo) and be able to handle high-volume routes independently. Competitive per-route or per-delivery compensation available.

Schedule and Compensation

- Full-time employees: Monday – Friday (typical hours 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM or similar; some flexibility based on routes).

- Competitive pay

- Contractors: Daily Route Rate (highly competitive rates based on volume and efficiency).
