Barback/Food Runner

Position: Barback/Busser/Food Runner

Reports to: Store Leader, Assistant Store Leader, Bar Leader, Floor Leader

Required Training/Experience/Education

Restaurant experience preferred, but not necessary.

Knowledge of wait staff and guest needs

Compensation

$5-$7 plus tipshare, DOE

Minimum Qualifications

Able to stand for 9 hours.

Able to lift at least 50 pounds

Reasonable ability to hear for safety and guest communication purposes.

Reasonable comprehension of the English language

Must be alert to the wait staff and guest’s needs

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Punch in and report to the Leader on duty on time and in full uniform for each shift. Obtain Leader's approval prior to punching out.

2. Perform dining room set-up, running side work and closing duties.

3. Perform assertively, aggressively and in a friendly manner.

4. Assist wait staff, maintains bus stations, restrooms and dish area aggressively.

5. Participate in table maintenance and dining room clean up.

6. Maintain restaurant safety and sanitation.

7. Attend all employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.

8. Complete stocking food products and equipment needed for bus station 15 minutes

prior to service to ensure that the station is totally equipped for service.

9. Avoid leaving work area during peak periods.

10. Take breaks only at non-busy periods in compliance with the Leader on duty as stated in the handbook.

11. Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times.

12. Must pass general information and departmental tests with a grade of 90% or higher

13. Perform job functions with accordance to performance standards.

14. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Leader on duty.
