Radiologic Technician (CT & X-Ray Certified) (Iraq)

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays and computed tomography. The Radiologic Technologist provides X-Ray and CT services. Perform X-Ray and CT studies ordered by staff on patients.

Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.

Prepares patients for radiological procedure by positioning patient.

Adjusts immobilization devices, moves equipment into specified positions and modifies equipment controls to set exposure factors.

Providing explanations of treatment and answering questions for patients.

Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding and knowledge of exposure factors.

Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Follows drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid and using the emergency cart.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events.

Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.
