Live-In Caregiver (3 Days/Week) – Young Adults with Autism & Developmental Disabilities
Location: Small Group Home
Schedule: Live-in, 3 consecutive days per week

About the Role
We are seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced live-in caregiver to support young adults with autism and other developmental and physical disabilities. This home is structured, calm, and relationship-based, drawing on best practices from group home settings while maintaining a warm, family-style environment.
This role is ideal for someone who understands routines, behavioral supports, and respectful care, and who values consistency and dignity over control.
Responsibilities
Provide daily support with personal care (as needed), routines, and activities
Apply behavior support strategies learned in group home or similar settings
Respond calmly and appropriately to behavioral challenges
Use redirection, de-escalation, and positive reinforcement
Follow established care plans, behavior guidelines, and routines
Assist with meals and light housekeeping related to care
Offer supervision, companionship, and emotional reassurance
Observe and document relevant changes in behavior or needs
Communicate clearly with family/care coordinator
Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment
Required Experience & Skills
Previous experience in group home, residential, or supported living settings
Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with:
Autism spectrum disorders
Developmental disabilities
Behavioral challenges
Ability to manage behaviors using non-punitive, trauma-informed approaches
Calm under pressure; able to de-escalate situations safely
Reliable, consistent, and respectful of boundaries
Comfortable following routines and written behavior plans
Able to work independently during live-in shifts
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
