Personal Care Attendant

Pay: $10.00 per hour

Position Summary:

Personal Care Attendants {PCA} offer non-medical support and assistant to our elderly and disabled in their private home setting. Our PCA should promote safety, independence, and quality of life. This role will also include personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, support with daily life activities as outlined in their care plan.

Personal Care & Daily Living:

=Assist with bathing, showering, grooming, and/or oral hygiene

=Help with dressing and undressing

=Assist with toileting and/or incontinence care

=Support mobility, transfers, and positioning {bed, wheelchair, walker, etc.}

=Remind client to take medications as directed {No administering}

Health & Safety Support:

=Observe and report changes in physical and/or emotional condition

=Ensure there is always a safe, clean, and comfortable environment

=Follow care plan and safety procedures

=Assist with basic range-of-motion exercises as directed

=Help prevent falls and/or injuries

Household & Environmental Support:

=Light housekeeping {laundry, dishes, tidying care areas}

=Meal preparation according to dietary needs

=Assist with grocery shopping and/or errands

=Maintain cleanliness and sanitize bathroom {when needed}

Companionship & Emotional Support:

=Provide companionship and social interaction

=Encourage independence and participation in activities

=Offer emotional support and reassurance

=Accompany clients to appointments and/or community activities {when needed}

Documentation & Communication:

=Document care provided and any notable changes {Weekly Service Notes}

=Communicate with supervisors as required

=Follow confidentiality and privacy guidelines {HIPAA}

Professional Responsibilities:

=Follow agency policies and client care plan

=Maintain respectful, patient-centered care always

=Attend required trainings and meetings

=Act within the PCA scope of practice {non-medical care}

Work Environment:

=Services will be provided at Client's home

=Male Client

=1 PCA needed 33 hours weekly

=Caregiver will get paid weekly on Fridays

=Pay Rate @ $10.00

=Reliable transportation to Keene, Tx. 76059

=Time management very important
