Established Bay Area Restaurant Group seeks a Director of Operations!
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Director of Operations to lead and elevate our restaurant operations. We are an established restaurant group with locations throughout the Bay Area. This role is responsible for driving performance across multiple locations while protecting our culture, developing leaders, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator with strong business acumen who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads with accountability, and thinks like an owner.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee daily operations across all restaurant locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and brand standards
Develop and implement operational systems, processes, and best practices
Partner with culinary and service leaders to deliver outstanding guest experiences
Maintain excellence in food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety
People & Culture
Coach, develop, and mentor General Managers and leadership teams
Build a strong leadership bench through training, succession planning, and performance management
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices
Financial Performance
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost controls across all locations
Analyze P&Ls and KPIs; identify opportunities and implement action plans
Oversee labor management, inventory controls, and operational budgets
Partner with finance and ownership to achieve business goals
Strategy & Growth
Support new restaurant openings, renovations, and expansion initiatives
Collaborate with ownership on long-term strategy and operational scalability
Lead change management initiatives as the company evolves
Act as a key ambassador of the brand internally and externally
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit restaurant operations
Proven success leading high-volume, full-service or premium casual dining concepts
Strong financial acumen with deep P&L experience
Exceptional leadership, communication, and coaching skills
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Passion for hospitality, people development, and operational excellence
