Deli Clerk at Salumeria 2703

Salumeria 2703 Italian Deli in Brookland is looking for a Deli Clerk to join our team! Experience preferred.

Required qualifications: Self-starter attitude, friendly, responsible, punctual, works well under pressure. Must remember to check ID for alcohol sales!

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

-Respond to customer queries, make product recommendations and provide samples

-Help customers locate, choose and buy products

-Weigh, label, package and make products ready for billing and delivery

-Stock and organize displays and showcases

-Clean the work areas and maintain tools and equipment

-Learn Deli menu and prepare sandwiches

-Coordinate with other staff in following food safety and hygiene procedures according to company policy

-Ensure prompt service and high level of customer satisfaction

- Greet and make all customers feel welcome

- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in food service, kitchen preferred. Candidates with back of house experience and knowledge of Italian cuisine will be given higher priority

- Ability to build rapport with customers

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must submit resume and full availability. 40 hours per week plus option for overtime. Shifts may include both locations (NoMa and Brookland).
