Local Commercial Door Technician Job

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Door Technician to join our growing team. This role involves installation, service, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial swing doors, ADA automatic door operators, and commercial overhead automatic doors.

We prefer a technician who is already well-versed in these systems, but we are willing to train the right candidate—especially on the commercial swing door and automatic operator side.

Responsibilities

Install, service, and repair:

◦ Commercial swing doors (metal, wood, aluminum)

◦ ADA automatic door operators

◦ Commercial overhead and automatic doors

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues

Adjust, align, and retrofit door hardware and operators

Work with access control and safety devices (sensors, push plates, etc.)

Read and interpret installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and specs

Perform field service calls at commercial properties

Maintain a professional appearance and customer communication

Preferred Experience

Experience with commercial doors and hardware

Familiarity with ADA compliance requirements

Experience with automatic door operators and/or overhead automatic doors

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently in the field

Training available for the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work on ladders

Comfortable using power tools and hand tools

Strong attention to detail and safety
