Diesel Mechanic – Vactor / Hydraulic / Camera Trucks
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair vactor trucks, camera inspection trucks, hydraulic systems, and diesel-powered fleet equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently in both shop and field environments. We are willing to invest in the right candidate by providing company-paid factory and manufacturer training.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrains
Service vactor trucks, including vacuum systems, pumps, blowers, and water systems
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems (hoses, pumps, valves, PTOs)
Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems (wiring, sensors, ECUs, cameras)
Maintain camera inspection trucks (reels, cameras, monitors, lighting systems); willingness and ability to learn required
Perform preventative maintenance and accurately document all repairs
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications:
CDL Class A or B
Welding or fabrication experience
Experience with vactor or sewer equipment
Manufacturer or factory training (Vactor, Vac-Con, CUES, Envirosight, etc.), or willingness to obtain (company-paid training available)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Ability to bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Schedule:
Combination of shop and field work
Overtime and on-call availability as needed
