Shipping Clerk [5:30 AM - 2:00 PM - Mon-Fri]

We are a spiritual non-profit organization seeking a Shipping Clerk. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position; Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. PST. The position is located in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities:

Receive, pack and ship orders for domestic and international wholesale distributors.

Serve as backup to data entry processing for various departments.

Prepare Customs forms and annotate envelope/box with postage needed. Annotate orders with all shipping information.

Resolve shipping problems and track shipments.

Operate forklift.

Participate in inventory and cycle counts as required.

Load and unload freight trucks.

Other position-related tasks, as assigned.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center.

Experience in domestic and international shipping preferred.

The ability to function well in a multi-task environment with ability to work independently.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs desired.

Knowledge of computers and order entry.

Good math, written and verbal communication skills a must.

Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Forklift certified.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Sit, stand, walk, push and pull pallets, etc. for extended periods of time.

A minimum of four years high school or the equivalent skills is necessary.
