Italian Restaurant Hiring General Manager

Osteria Mia is a family owned Italian restaurant featuring house made pasta, wood fired pizza, and other Italian specialties. We are a full service restaurant with an extensive wine list and craft cocktails. We are opening a second location soon, and we are looking for somebody to take over the front of house responsibilities so we can focus on getting this new restaurant open. We have been open for 6 years, and we have a great staff. We need somebody to come in and lead our team so we can ensure that our restaurant is operating within our standards and level of quality.

We are looking for a candidate with at least 4 years of high volume restaurant experience. We do have a great wine list, so basic wine knowledge and service is required. We us Toast POS, so experience with Toast or a similar platform is a plus. We are looking for somebody with great leadership, who will look after our restaurant as it's their own.

Duties required are as following:

- Weekly liquor inventory and ordering

- Weekly Scheduling

- Nightly floor charts for servers

- Nightly tip outs through Kickfin

- Checking out servers, bartenders, bussers and hostesses according to our closing and opening check lists

- Table touching and interacting with guests throughout the shift to ensure guests are happy

- Occasional expediting during busy times in the kitchen

We are looking to hire a salaried employee for 5 days a week, which would be Wednesday through Sunday. We are closed Mondays, and our managers usually have Monday and Tuesday off. We will start off training at $25 an hour, for 45 hours a week. Once we have somebody who we know is the right fit, we can renegotiate a salaried position.
