Job PurposeThis role supports the Power Services division by leading the design, testing, and commissioning of system protection, control, and communication systems. You’ll be responsible for developing protection schemes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting field commissioning activities that directly impact system reliability, project performance, and customer satisfaction. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities may include:System Protection Design (30%)Lead the electrical design of system protection and control projectsDesign and develop communication systemsDevelop one‑line diagrams, layout plans, and interconnection strategiesCreate protective device and communication device setting filesDevelop, organize, and maintain technical documentationEnsure all system designs meet applicable codes and standardsReview, analyze, and interpret sequence‑of‑events data for system trips or anomaliesRegulatory Compliance (15%)Develop standards and processes for regulatory compliance reviewsCreate testing and commissioning procedures for regulatory requirements such as NERC PRC‑005Develop, organize, and maintain compliance documentationField Support (55%)Lead and support protection and control commissioning projectsSupport testing and maintenance activitiesDesign test plans and technical specifications for testing and commissioning work
