Expeditors is seeking a motivated and well-qualified attorney with three (3) to five (5) years of experience practicing law in a law firm or the corporate legal department of a global corporation to support the Real Estate and Global Sourcing practice group. The Commercial Contracts Attorney will assist with complex legal matters, advising Expeditors’ internal clients on legal implications and risk exposures involved in real estate and procurement-related matters across multiple geographies.As a Commercial Contracts Attorney, you will support the global Legal Department in representing the company’s best interests in interactions with landlords, vendors, and service providers. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for advising internal clients on best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and corporate requirements, as well as drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements. These agreements include confidentiality agreements, real estate lease agreements, construction agreements, equipment lease agreements, asset purchase agreements, various types of services agreements, and information technology-related agreements (e.g., SaaS agreements).In addition, you will have the opportunity to support litigation management, answer general legal questions from various business teams globally, and contribute to various strategic initiatives owned by the Legal Department and the practice group.  A successful candidate must be able to effectively manage multiple matters with different priorities at the same time.
