Veterinary Assistant/Kennel Technician

Job duties include, but are not limited to:As a Veterinary Assistant and Kennel Technician, you’ll play an important role in supporting our veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and hospital team while helping ensure every patient receives exceptional care. Your responsibilities will include:Assist with veterinary appointments, physical examinations, animal restraint, and patient handlingTriage patients and communicate changes in condition to the veterinary teamProvide nursing care and monitoring for hospitalized, surgical, recovering, and boarding patientsPrepare patients for procedures and assist with anesthesia monitoring and veterinary surgeryCollect and process laboratory samples and assist with in-house diagnostic testingAdminister medications and document patient care, diets, appetite, behavior, and other observationsFeed, walk, bathe, medicate, and monitor boarding and hospitalized animalsMaintain clean, organized, and sanitary kennels, treatment areas, and patient spacesClean and sterilize veterinary surgical instruments and follow proper infection-control proceduresRestock supplies and assist with routine hospital cleaning and maintenanceProvide compassionate care and professional communication to clients about their pets
