Junior Quantity Surveyor (Electrical Construction & Reticulation)

Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for electrical construction and   reticulation works- Measure electrical works from drawings and specifications (cabling, trenching, substations, transformers, poles, fittings, etc.)- Assist with pricing and cost estimating for tenders and projects- Prepare and process interim payment certificates/valuations- Track and manage variation orders and site instructions- Assist in compiling and reconciling material and subcontractor accounts- Support procurement processes, including obtaining and comparing supplier/subcontractor quotes- Maintain accurate project cost records and cost reports- Assist with final account preparation and close-out documentation- Conduct site visits to verify progress and quantities installed- Liaise with site engineers, project managers, contractors, and suppliers- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., SANS, NRS, municipal/Eskom requirements where applicable)- Assist in contract administration under standard forms of contract (e.g., JBCC, NEC, GCC)
