About the RoleAs our Events Marketing Manager, you'll own ALIS's event strategy and execution from start to finish: industry conferences, customer events, executive dinners, field programs, and new experiences we haven't thought of yet.We're looking for someone who genuinely loves events. Someone who gets excited about bringing people together, sweats the details that turn a good event into a great one, and finds energy in the planning, the problem-solving, and yes, even the occasional last-minute curveball.This is not a role where you'll be working in a silo. You'll collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Leadership, and you'll build relationships with vendors and partners along the way. We want someone who enjoys being part of a team, keeps a lot of moving pieces moving in the same direction, and brings people together as naturally offsite as they do on a stage.Events are a critical part of how ALIS builds its brand, strengthens customer relationships, and drives pipeline. We make real investments in bringing people together, and we want someone who can connect great experiences to real business outcomes, knowing what success looks like before an event starts and finding ways to make the next one even better.Most importantly, we want someone who takes pride in how ALIS shows up. Someone who notices the details, brings ideas to the table, and thrives in an environment where no two events, or days, look exactly the same.The BasicsLocation and schedule: Flexible. In-office, hybrid, or remote. Preference will be given to local candidates, but we are open to other arrangements for the right person. Candidates located in the Chicagoland area will work onsite during their first 90 days before moving to their long-term schedule.Salary: $85,000 to $100,000.Sponsorship: We are not able to provide employment sponsorship, including OPT or STEM OPT.Travel: Approximately 20-30% travel, with heavier travel during spring conference and summer event seasons. How to apply: No cover letter is needed but provide a process improvement, event optimization tactic, or creative idea that you developed /implemented for a specific event. Please include any measurable results if applicable (i.e., cost savings, attendee experience, etc.). What You'll Be DoingOwn the strategy, planning, and execution of our annual user conference (FWD). Evaluate and prioritize conferences, sponsorships, customer events, and field marketing opportunities.Establish measurable goals and success metrics for every event.Lead planning and execution for conferences, trade shows, executive dinners, customer events, and networking programs.Manage budgets, logistics, vendor relationships, sponsorship deliverables, and onsite execution.Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Leadership to align events with business goals.Develop repeatable event processes and playbooks that improve efficiency and consistency.Track performance, pipeline contribution, influenced revenue, and ROI.Deliver post-event analysis and recommendations to leadership.Own event budgets and ensure investments align with expected business outcomes.Track event performance, pipeline contribution, influenced revenue, and return on investment.Deliver post-event analysis and recommendations to leadership.Manage relationships with vendors, venues, agencies, and conference organizers.Improve reporting, forecasting, and operational processes that support event marketing at scale.
