Powered by deep analytics and trusted IBM Security expertise, our robust portfolio of comprehensive, scalable industry leading tools deliver unparalleled security intelligence with reduced complexity and lower maintenance costs.As an IBM Security Technical Sales Architect, you assume overall technical leadership and responsibility for designing solutions that leverage the capabilities of the IBM Security portfolio and drive software and SaaS sales revenue. Technical Sales Architects provide leadership of technical activities during the sales cycle, set a vision for customers, lead requirements gathering and analysis, design solutions, facilitate demos & presentations and work as an integral part of a sales team to drive customer success.This is a senior technical sales leadership position. It is a customer facing role and the candidate must be comfortable and confident working with Client Line of Business Executives and be able to work effectively in a collaborative role with IBM sales teams and business partners.Key responsibilitiesPosition IBM value through architecture discussions and workshops

Set the technical strategy for sales opportunities

Lead requirements gathering and analysis

Design Security Solutions using IBM Security Capabilities

Client Facing Presentations & Whiteboard discussions

Work as an integral part of a sales team

Drive customer success in Security

Skills NeededArchitecture methodologies and tools - able to apply architectural thinking plus some familiarity with methods and tools utilized in solution design, risk assessment, etc.Information Security Management Principles - A fundamental understanding of ISM Principles, covering an understanding of Physical Security, Disaster Recovery, Access Controls, Authentication, Audit, Governance, Risk Management, Security Architecture, Cryptography, Systems Development and Business Continuity.IT Systems - A fundamental understanding of IT Systems and Services covering Virtualization, Mainframes, Cloud Services, Hosting Services, Desktop, etc.Systems Development - A fundamental understanding of IT Systems Development.Networking Technologies - An understanding of the fundamentals of IT networking technologies, the basic building blocks used and how they support a secure architecture.Additional skills include: Ability to present material and clearly communicate between executives and technical staff; Experience developing customer proposals, technical presentations, and architecture diagrams; Experience working in a Sales Support/Consulting position and solution selling; Ability to lead teams.Key AttributesTechnical Seller
