UWM is seeking an Agile Coach who knows how to work with cross-functional Application Development teams in a fast-paced, agile environment. We're looking for someone who is passionate about Agile and constantly on the lookout for ways to improve existing conditions. - Educate and coach Application Development teams and leadership on Agile/Shoregile
- Identify team and leadership challenges or opportunities that are hindering our team's ability to execute work in an agile manor
- Develop and execute actionable continuous improvement strategies that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our team's ability to deliver
- Hold Inspect and Adapt meetings to ensure strategies are producing the outcomes expected
- Operate in an Agile Framework to deliver the top priority Agile Learning Topics to all of Information Technology
- On-going hands on formal or informal training of agile principles, methods and practices
- Bring awareness to organizational impediments to our agility
- Develop and execute action plans to remove organizational impediments
- Computer or business-related Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of Agile framework and methods (i.e. Scrum, Kanban)
- Deep skills in estimation, story slicing, grooming and other Agile techniques
- Solid experience leading Scrum events: spring planning, daily scrums, reviews / demos and retrospectives
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Ability to motivate, influence and relate to all roles, levels and team members
- Ability to observe interactions and reactions, without judgement, to understand different perspectives other than your own
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, organization and coaching skills
- Ability to productively converse with business stakeholders and developers alike
- Ability to differentiate problems exposed vs caused by Agile/Scrum
- Adapts to cultural norms surrounding the team
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to multitask and adapt
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Onsite, full-time attendance
- 5 + years of project, product, or technical leadership in a software development environment
- 3 years' experience as a dedicated Scrum Master and / or Agile Coach.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification
- Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
