Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Civil Construction Equipment)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Diagnose, rebuild, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems of heavy operating equipment.

Perform maintenance and repair on heavy equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgement.

Accurately order needed parts from vendors.

Perform inspections and preventive maintenance.

Prepares and maintains records and reports.

Extensive knowledge of construction or heavy equipment and advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.

Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

5 years of experience

Must be 18 years of age or older

Flexibility of working hours and location of work

Reliable transportation

Valid Driver’s License

Excellent communication skills

Be a team player with a professional attitude

Travel may be required

Competencies: Technical Capacity, Time Management, Thoroughness, Problem Solving/Analysis, Discretion.
