RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is looking an Associate UX Researcher to join their team in Raleigh, NC. This candidate plays a supporting role in understanding user behaviors, needs and motivations. They will be training in UX research techniques.Responsibilities:Customer (or User) Focus: Participates in customer discovery activities with the product team and gives input for solutions Aware of customer needs through direct or indirect observation Leverages research documentation Regularly reads competitive announcements and keeps up-to-date with market trendsCreative Problem Solving: Asks the right questions to explore the problem Works with designers to iterate and test solutions Under the guidance of others, identifies different UX research solutions Collaboratively analyses the results of research to recommend solutionsProduct Design: Under the guidance of seniors, follows a User-Centered research process Practices and learns research techniques Works with UX Designer to define structure and layout of the product Works with Visual Designer to define the visual identity of products Creates research documentationData Driven Analysis & Testing: With support of team, uses data to establish key metrics for projects Regularly tests design work with users in partnership with UX Design team Is comfortable conducting feedback sessions face to face and remotely Iterates research methods based on testing and data analysis Explores data from analytics packages, customer insight or other sources to understand context of UX research workREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a design subject (Psychology, UX, HCI, Product Design, Design, Graphic Design, etc. discipline) is preferred, but not required 0-2 years of experienceTechnical Skills: Uses research software (e.g. Qualtics, Lookback, Usertesting.com) to basic level Has a basic knowledge of statistics to communicate the significance of research outcomes Attends training in technical skills Thinks carefully about which tools to use for each taskCompetencies: Personal Capability Practices Self-Development Is curious and keen to learn and develop new ideas, skills and knowledge Acts on feedback to improve themselves Looks for developmental opportunities in day-to-day work Invests time and energy in self-development (professional qualifications, relevant reading, networking meetings, etc.)Solves Problems and Analyzes Issues: Is able to understand, analyze and resolve core issues within own role Works with others on solving complex problems and issuesInnovates: Brainstorms with others to look for different approaches to current process and tasks Looks for opportunities to develop new ideas or thinking within own role Experiments with new ideas as part of roleInterpersonal Skills: Communicates powerfully and prolifically Demonstrates effective conversational skills, including active listening and questioning Shares information relevant to own role Participates in team presentations Collaboration and Teamwork Develops co-operative working relationships within the team Considers how own style affects others and tailors interactions accordinglyKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
