Job Title: System Admin (Citrix)

Location: Eden Prairie, MN

Duration: 12+ Months (Contract to Hire)As a Technology Support Consultant - Senior, you will be responsible for many of the day to day activities support the Citrix platform - specific to a government contract. Duties will include responding to customer tickets, deploying applications and updates, contributing to server uptime and maintenance, some night and/or weekend work. Along with day to day, there is an expectation of contribution to changing how we work (modernizing operations) that may include things like ticket review and reduction of effort, automation to reduce or eliminate manual processes and/or ways to improve our end user experience and security outlook.

IDEAL BACKGROUND: Citrix Xenapp 7.x experience, specifically in infrastructure and administration of published apps and desktops, user support.

TOP REQUIREMENTS: Overall Citrix support: 5 years; XenApp 7: 3 years, Infrastructure upgrades from one version to the next, specifically in the 7.x family; Application and desktop publishing.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Also includes overseeing environments health and facilitation of high severity incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuity.
  • Develop processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs.
  • Document all hardware, application, facility, etc. problems and take corrective action as required.
  • Advanced experience in XenApp 7.x infrastructure and support are required. Preferred to have experience in VMware vCenter, Chef and Powershell.
