Required Skills and Experience:- Very strong leadership skills, with proven ability to influence and lead teams to successful delivery while building strong relationships with stakeholders, the business, customers, and project team members.
- Four to five years of experience as project coordinator/project coordinator of application development, infrastructure, process, or business programs and projects.
- Strong experience in financial and budget management and tracking.
- Experience managing project medium to large projects and managing and tracking budgets ranging from $100K to millions of dollars.
- Experience in driving out projects and all deliverables from start to finish.
- Experience in risk and issue management and mitigation; status reporting; scope management; managing stakeholder expectations; tracking project and program plans.
- Experience delivering projects that use Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Experience in project management and portfolio management tools such as MS Project, Planview, and Excel.
- Ability to think strategically and ensure that the project resources are being used optimally.
- Experience in vendor management and in developing and managing material and service contracts.
- Strong knowledge of performance evaluation and organizational change management principles.
- Ability to communicate at all levels in an organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering.
- Knowledge of PMBOK.
- PMP or other project management-type certifications.
- Lead and manage application development, infrastructure, process, or business projects.
- Manage and develop the Work Breakdown Structure and program and project plans.
- Perform scope, schedule; budget; resource, communication, vendor, change, risk, issue, quality, requirements, and stakeholder management.
- Create Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Develop and deliver project status reports.
- Manage and track project budgets ranging from $500K to millions of dollars.
- Perform cost/benefit analyses.
- Serve as a Scrum Master or Iteration Coordinator as needed,
- Use tools such as Planview, MS Project, or others to track projects and manage deliverables.
- Deliver projects that use Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Be responsible for approval and sign-off of the project plan with stakeholders.
- Manage project scope and gain agreement and approval of scope changes.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and customer representatives.
- Direct work planning and scheduling design work.
- Manage, and track the project progress against the project plan.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related issues and resolution of issues.
- Develop business cases and coordinate and present proposals as needed.
- Identify, log, track, and manage project risk and develops risk mitigation strategies, and track to closure.
- Ensure team leads adjust and revise estimates when necessary.
- Manage vendor relationships, including resources and vendor contracts.
- Anticipate issues and proactively address them. Resolve conflicts with sensitivity and tact.
- Be accountable for project compliance with standards and procedures.
- Be responsible for the capture and reporting of required project management metrics.
- Develop and facilitate achievement of project service commitments and performance metrics.
- Review the final project management evaluation with stakeholders for approval.
- Communicate effectively with customers and software and hardware suppliers.
- Manage capacity of team members, balance workload, and effectively utilize resources.
- Communicate to team members about their work assignments and impact on project objectives.
- Plan project-specific training.
