Job Duties

Set up feeder section of the press, load feeder, and keep feeder operating to maintain quality and consistent press operation

Inspect sheets to be loaded in the press for correct size, caliper, grade, cleanliness, etc., and communicate any concerns to the press operator

Maintain fountain solution, wash-up and water containers, and spray powder levels

Maintain inventory of folded cleaning towels/rags

Maintain a work environment compliant with all safety requirements and food safe product guidelines

Must be able to work overtime and flexible/varied schedules as needed

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1 – 3 years sheet fed press experience/knowledge preferred

Preferred Skills

Understanding of industrial equipment mechanics

Forklift driving and scissor lift work platform use preferred

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Strong initiative, problem solving, and resourcefulness

Flexible in relations with others and able to adjust to continuous change

Occasional overtime and flexible shifts

Physical Demands

Required to wear personal protective equipment.

Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop,kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear.

Frequently lifts up to 40 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,

color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
